Greetings everyone!
This tribe now boasts 50 members. Well, 50 very silent members and I have to admit to being one of them myself. I haven't changed my habits in any way. I am still an ELN and very rarely am I asleep before 3am. But, I think that I am much like other ELNs and when I am up at these hours and the rest of the world is asleep, I enjoy my private time. I tend not to turn on chat anymore. My personal responses on email tend to be in clusters. I rarely come to tribe and rely heavily on weekly posts sent to my email. Let's face it, I'm a hermit and I enjoy the peace and quiet of the night. The last few weeks have been non-stop in the "outer" world and I have had to exist in the daylight hours. I am so glad that is over!
What makes you keep ELN hours?
hope to hear your voice in the still of the night.

Re: Hi to all ELNs

Hey there, hon.
I went to the mountains for 3 weekes, and when I came back my computer had some major issues, and finally died. I'm currently borrowing my brother's computer. I've been trying to catch up on all the tribe posts I've gotten behind on, but it's a LONG process. (I have yet to read the Five Hundred some posts in the Dickens Fair tribe, as well as MANY others. *sigh* ) Oh, and my IMs have been off for a *long* time, due to computer problems before going to the mountains.
Hopefully it won't be too much longer until I have a computer that works properly.
Anyway, it's good to see that you are doing okay. :) -

Re: Hi to all ELNs
10/01Sorry to hear about the computer. I've been there before too. Not many things that I will wait for in daylight hours, but I have waited on a long list to have computer time at the library. Gad, how is it that these people are al so chipper when the light of day is about?
I should probably check in to the Dickens Fair tribe. It sounds like something I might just go and do. BTW - will you be going to anything SCA?
Good luck on the ressurrection of your computer. -

Yeah, I've used the Library comp. before, too. Luckily I've never had to wait in line.
I have no idea how folks can be so chipper in the daylight. And *driving* in daylight really sucks, too.
The Dickens Fair tribe is mainly, but not exclusively, people who work at The Charles Dickens Christmas Fair in San Francisco. ( www.dickensfair.com ) There's also a lot of people there who enjoy attending the fair.
Your profile says you are in Southern CA. It's a bit of a drive to get to S.F. just for Dickens. Not unheard of, just a long way to go.
SCA-wise, I don't have any plans right now. Haven't been to any events in quite some time. Mostly because I just can't afford it any more. (It killed me, but I had to let my membership lapse. It's just too expensive for me. )
I *will* be heading down to the Northern California Renaissance Fair at Casa de Fruta in Hollister for the 14th & 15th. (Closing weekend. ) I do that every year, and work for my usual vendor, Leather Roses. (Well, I've been working for her for at least 13 years, anyway. )
